Humanizing Business

is our purpose

We see three elements that form today’s predominate business system - each with a contribution to demeaning work

Monetary Motivation

We are not alone in believing that making money is not the purpose of business.

More humanly beneficial business models are being promoted and implemented. Stakeholder and stewardship models are challenging the shareholder economy.

Stewardship models are also referred to as “Responsibility Ownership” models and are supported by official legal entity formats in several countries.

Bureaucracy

Bureaucracy, with its rigid structures, rules, and hierarchical authority, commands efficiencies and productivity.

Its pursuit of efficient production through harmonization and automation drives linear thinking, making organizations less and less adaptable to an ever-changing world.

The way management assigns and scales authority is the most significant barrier to creativity and innovation.

Digital Transformation

The promise that technological innovation will relieve humans from demeaning work turns out to be a trap, one digital transformation at a time.

With the advent of machine learning - let’s call it what it is - the capabilities of technology have entered a new dimension of dehumanization. Human identity and authenticity are at stake.

Virtual reality is presented as a game. Deep fakes appear to fascinate from a technological perspective without any form of accountability for the damages created.
